We believe in the strength of a united community that embraces diversity, fosters collaboration, and amplifies the collective voice of Jewish educators, students and their families while advocating for cultural understanding and solidarity with Israel as the ancestral homeland of the Jewish people.
Advocacy
We are dedicated to advocating for the rights and well-being of Jewish teachers, educators, students and their families. Our support extends to teachers’ and educators’ professional interests and beyond. We actively combat antisemitism (as defined by the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance’s working definition).
Respect & Fairness
We honour and respect the diversity of our members and allies. We actively work to ensure that the voice of Jewish students, and their families, teachers and educators are respected, and that no one feels harassed for being Jewish or supporting Israel. We oppose discrimination in any form. We affirm school policies that honour and accept each person according to their individual rights, needs and merits.
Support & Growth
We are committed to supporting our members by providing ongoing professional development opportunities and resources that meet the needs of Jewish educators and students in schools today. This includes education on antisemitism, Jewish religion, history, culture, and ties with Israel, with a focus on enhancing the voice of Jewish students and educators in our schools.
